Agreements and bilateral agreements
The Danish Ministry of Culture has authorised Copydan Writing to conclude agreements under the extended collective licensing system in the educational and business areas. Links to agreements in these two areas are available below.
In the business area all our different agreements have been translated into English; in the educational area we have a standard agreement that has been translated into English
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us on telephone (+45) 35 44 14 02 / or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition to concluding agreements with Danish users, we also conclude reciprocity agreements with our sister organisations around the world – these are our bilateral agreements.
The bilateral agreements ensure that Danish rightsholders receive remuneration when their material is copied in the countries with which we have an agreement. The reverse is the case when foreign material is copied in Denmark.
Copydan Writing is a member of IFRRO, the International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organisations, and we participate actively in the international cooperation. Our bilateral agreements are based on this cooperation.

We have two types of agreements:
- Type A Agreement: the countries pay each other for copying.
- Type B Agreement: the payment for copying stays in the country in which it was earned. The money is distributed among the authors and publishers in the country in which the copies were made.
